Women's Tennis Team Blanks Meredith College
HILTON HEAD, SC-- The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team opened its annual spring break trip with a 9-0 win over Meredith (NC) College in Hilton Head, SC.
The Huskies jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play with the team of Laura Sullivan (Dingman's Ferry/Delaware Valley) and Andrea Malatesta (Berwick/Berwick) winning 8-0 at number three. In singles action, Sullivan won 6-0, 6-0 at number four singles, while Alison Carney (Muncy/Warrior Run) posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at number three.
The Huskies are now 4-2 on the season.
